It is so cold that Spencer can hardly breathe as he walks from the plane to a waiting bus.
The bus is heated and drives the passengers from the runway to McMurdo Station.
Because the bus drives over snow and ice, it has HUGE tires.
On the way, Spencer sees lots of strange trucks and his first snowmobile.
Like all kids, Spencer can't wait to check them out.
